LOCAL VOICES FOR OBAMA - SANDY Before the 2008 presidential elections I was turning in circles wondering what I could do to make a difference. My friend Lee Hirsch was thinking the same thing and he came up with this way of giving a voice to the people living in in battleground states. Lee went to Missouri, I took a crew to Nevada, and Alicia Dwyer went to Ohio. Eugene Hedlund of Truth and Hope.org brought in his PAC. We raised the funds and postproduction donated their services. The result was fifteen 60 second ads that aired in the final weeks, really making a difference in the final election results.
